Sweet Prince

I was flipping through the newspaper the other day when my eyes rested upon an obituary. They had been married for 55 years, he was 88 when he passed, and she wrote, "Rest in peace my Sweet Prince.....until we are reunited." Our lives are "stories" in the making and if we are lucky enough to live a long life, we too will miss our dear loved ones. Hold one another close today - count the moments - and make the moments count. The emphasis each day must be on the present moment and the gifts here and now. I do believe with all my heart that not even death parts us, it's only a temporary removal of our beloveds from sight. We will be together again. But in the meantime, hold close to you those who are still in human form and say the words, "I Love You."

  1. Your post is so timely for me. One of my facebook friends, a gal from high school who I have reaquainted with, just lost her husband. I followed her posts over the weekend, from his worsening after a stem cell transplant to a night where wife and daughter performed CPR to save their "prince." When the posts stopped, my heart dropped. There was no more to say except, "Goodbye." Ah...how short it all seems here on earth compared to the eternity that awaits.

  2. I have loved my prince for over d0 years...
Finally brought together... I imagined a life of giving and sharing...instead it has been hell. Deciet, verbal cruelty, isolation and control.
Now what...I pray each day for a path.....
    Help!!

  3. Dear Anonymous,
I am so sorry to hear of your suffering. Please know that it is never in your best interest to stay in a relationship where you are being emotionally abused. I encourage you and your partner to seek counseling. If he will not participate, then you have your answer. A new path awaits you, but you must begin the journey yourself. Please examine also why you attracted this energy to you. You will find your way to that which you pray for. I wish you wellness in every way.
    Sincerely, Laura Lester Fournier
